Rijiju lauds State over ITM

SHILLONG: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju was all praise for the Meghalaya Government for organizing the Indigenous Terra Madre,2015 in such a “befitting manner”.
Rijiju, who landed few minutes before the culmination of the ITM festival, said that the innovative programme was rooted to the culture and tradition of the tribals.
“The programme is a display of our strength and is one of the most beautiful events ever envisaged in the North East to showcase our strength,” he said.
He further said that the ITM festival has to be given a push to make it sustainable.
