Three dead in road mishaps across State

SHILLONG: Three persons died in two separate road accidents in the State in the last couple of days.
Police said that an accident took place between one truck (ML-05-0488) and one local taxi (ML-05E-7942) driven by Perferman Thongni (28) at Mawlarshong, New Nongstoin on November 15.
In the incident, driver of the local taxi died on the spot while two occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital where one of the injured, Hebert Sohshang (35) succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the truck fled after the incident.
In another accident, 19-year-old Tanbor Pathaw died after his motorcycle (ML-05J-5243) skidded on the road at Bhoirymbong in Ri Bhoi on the same day.
He was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital in a critical condition and succumbed to his injuries later.
