No arrest yet in Jowai twin kidnapping case

SHILLONG: Jowai Police is yet to make an arrest in the shocking incident of abduction of two girls allegedly by the Pastor of KJP Synod Mihngi, also the Principal of KJP Synod Higher Secondary School, Jowai, on Wednesday night.
West Jaintia Hills Addl. SP C. Syrti on Friday said police have registered a case and investigation was underway.
The pastor, Meshak Shylla, is alleged to have kidnapped two girls in his vehicle (ML04-C-1999) at around 9 pm from Choice Dhaba, Hill Top Khliehtyrshi, Jowai, with the help of an accomplice.
However, a police team on night duty patrol on the NH-44 apprehended him along with his accomplice with the help of some NGO activists at Myntdu Bridge.
