SHILLONG:  Police have cautioned the public not to fall prey to a fake job recruitment company.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, police said that NACS Ltd whose corporate address is Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun, Uttarakhand has advertised more than 7000 vacancies in its website  ‘http://nacsindia.in’, targeting the youth, especially from the Northeast claiming, to be registered under the Public Sector Undertaking Act (PSU) Government of India. “But no such Act exists in the Indian laws, nor its corporate office is present in the given address,” police said.
To maintain its credibility the company has put up some gazette notifications which are not in existence. It claims to have a number of overseas offices and has even uploaded pictures of the Prime Minister of India in its website, police added.
