Kharkutta killings: Twin inquiries on track

SHILLONG: While the Army inquiry is in progress on the killing of two persons including a teacher on November 25 at Konchikol, Rajasimla, the Additional District Magistrate, North Garo Hills has urged people to depose before him to carry out the probe.
The Army had ordered a separate inquiry, while a magisterial enquiry has been instituted by the government to find out the reasons which led to the killing of two civilians by the Army.
In a statement issued to the media on Wednesday, the government said any person, group or association who is/are interested or familiar with the incident or facts of the case can depose before the Additional District Magistrate, North Garo Hills on December 3 and December 8 at Kharkutta PWD I.B. and from December 1 to 14 at the office chamber of the Additional District Magistrate during office hours.
