Miscreants make failed bid to escape with ATM

SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants made a failed attempt to escape with an ATM at Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills early Tuesday morning.
Ngamlamlin Rynjah, Sr. Executive, F/S Payment Solution Service, lodged a complaint that in the small hours of December 1, unknown miscreants attempted to lift the whole ATM at Khliehriat and in the process damaged the ATM.
The damage is estimated to cost around Rs.2 lakh.
It may be mentioned that ATM thefts have become rampant in Meghalaya.
