National Lok Adalat
The National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on December 12 has been rescheduled on December 19 from 10 AM onwards on the premises of the District Council Court, East Khasi Hills, Shillong.
The District Legal Services Authority, West Jaintia Hills District will hold a Lok Adalat at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Jowai on December 19 from 10 AM.
Christmas Carol
The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of India is organizing a one day Christmas Carol Service on December 12 at 2nd Polo Ground from 1 PM. The Christmas Carol service is envisaged to bind the people of the State to combat and eradicate anti-social activities and live together in peace and harmony.
Advance Christmas
Ieng Rasong Sports Social and Cultural Club, Shillong will conduct the Advance Musical Christmas and get Together on December 12 at the Shillong Club Ltd., Shillong at 4 PM. Health & Family Welfare Minister A.L. Hek will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Pensioners’ meet
A State Bank of India  (SBI) pensioners’ meet will be held on December 8 at 11 AM at the conference hall of State Bank of India, Administrative Office, Bawri Mansions, Dhankheti, Shillong. The SBI has requested all SBI pensioners of Shillong and adjoining areas to attend the said meet.

The A’chik Students’ Welfare Association recently held an election where Dikki N Marak was re-elected as president while Harley Davidson N Sangma was elected as general secretary of the Association.
