“Department of Personnel was asked to examine the proposal and they have gone through various departments seeking their views on the proposal,” Sangma informed.
According to the chief minister, the salary of a MPSC member will now be equal to that of a head of department and will be increased from Rs.31,300 to Rs.46,760 per month.
The salary of the chairperson will be equivalent to a secretary and will be raised from Rs.35,500 to Rs.48,980.
