Human capital development programme held at Bhoilymbong

SHILLONG: The Awareness Building and Mobilization NGO, Aide-et-Action, under the project ‘Supporting human capital development in Meghalaya’ (SHCDM) organized the ‘Lawei ka sdang hangne’ (Future starts here), a state government sponsored event implemented by the Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS) at Madan Kurkalang Bhoilymbong on Saturday.
The event focused on the youth and aimed at sensitizing them and their communities on various skill training and career possibilities for enhancing the human capital development in Meghalaya. It also aimed at improving quality od education through teachers’ training and skill development programmes.
This mobilization drive also aimed at bringing together youths between the age of 18 to 35 to be  enrolled in the programme.
Joint Secretary in charge Border Area Development, R M Kurbah was present on the occasion.
Others present included P. Sangma, EAC, the local headmen, students and teachers from various schools and the local populace.
