BJP internal elections

SHILLONG: The state unit of the BJP conducted the internal election of the party from November 1-28 to select its leaders at the district and the grassroots level.
Out of total 60Mandals, elections were held in as many as 44 mandals.
Moreover, elections were held in as many as nine districts.
The state now qualifies to have the election for the state president as functionaries for more than 50 per cent of the Mandals and districts are elected.
44 state council members, one each member from mandals were also elected.
