Guv calls for unity among all faiths

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor V Shanmuga-nathan has called for peace and unity among different faiths in the state.
Speaking at the Peace and Harmony-Christmas Carol Service held here in on Saturday, Shanmuganathan said that Christmas is a celebration for all communities and religious groups. He also said that Christmas marks the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for the cause of humanity.
Deputy Chief Minister, Rowel Lyngdoh, Home Minister Roshan Warjri, IT minister A.L. Hek, KHADC Deputy CEM, P.T. Sawkmie and people from different faiths were also present on the occasion.
