SHILLONG: The Rotary Club of Orchid City, Shillong organised a Pre-Christmas celebration entitled, ‘Ki Sur Khristmas bad ka Serenity Choir’ at Hotel Pinewood on December 16 to spread the message of peace, joy and happiness for all.
Rtn Manas Chaudhuri presented the Christmas message on the occasion. He said, Christmas is thought by most people to be a wonderful time, focusing on gifts, meeting family friends, listening to beautiful music, indulging in fantastic decorative activities, feasting and singing of Christmas Carols but many missed the main theme of Christmas. Chaudhuri explained that his understanding of Christmas as a non-Christian was that, “Christmas is the celebration of the Nativity of Christ – the birth of Jesus”.
