SHILLONG: Around 500 youths who were undergoing Computer Training at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre were awarded certificate during a convocation ceremony held on Monday.
NEC Secretary, R. Muivah, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Swami Achyuteshananda, secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong and Swami Madhurananda were also present during the function.
Addressing the gathering Swami Achyuteshananda declared that Ramakrishna Mission is planning to sponsor free computer training for 100 poor students. He also expressed hope of opening of centers at Jowai and Nongpoh. Some meritorious students were awarded laptops, computers and scholarships.
