Four-day workshop held

SHILLONG: Agastya International Foundation, a transformative educational foundation which is actively engaged in propagating hands-on learning among poor rural children and teacher recently conducted three programmes namely science centre, mobile science lab and lab on bike or the  LOB at its Shillong centre at Shillong Public School, Laitmukrah, Shillong from January 11 to 14.
In science centre, students from different schools participated every day. In MSL for rural areas, instructors along with the van in which they have all the lab materials went to different schools and LOB is a bike carrying a kit which the instructor carried with him and went to the schools which were unable to attend the centre.
The four-day workshop comprised of painting, essay writing, story-telling competition, astronomy session, low-cost model making and discussion on heart-attack, diabetes the causes and reasons behind them among others.
The workshop witnessed good participation from the students.
The Shillong team of Agastya International Foundation Shillong thanked the principal of Kalpataru school, Debashish Bhattacharjee as well as the students for their cooperation.
