‘State BJP will not be mere onlooker’

SHILLONG: The state BJP has asserted that the party will not remain a mere on looker, while dealing with the Congress led government in the state.
In a clarification to the media reports that the BJP was adopting a soft approach to the Congress, the spokesperson of state BJP LG Laloo said on Wednesday that the newly elected body of state BJP will not just wait and watch on the law and order situation and other burning issues in the state.
According to the party leader, the BJP, a party with a different outlook and ideology considers welfare of the people of the state as its first priority.
The party leader said that while offering support to the state government, the state BJP will be alert and keep a close watch on the functioning of the government  for the sake of the development of the state and its people particularly, the poor and the down trodden who have been affected by scams and corruptions .
