PM ‘ignores’ Shillong in Maan Ki Baat

SHILLONG: Shillong was left out when Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended his speech during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address to the nation on Sunday.
The Prime Minister spoke about the upcoming South Asian Games to be held in Guwahati, Assam, and was optimistic that this development will boost ties among all the SAARC member nations.
Guwahati will host the opening and closing ceremonies with 16 sports disciplines across 11 venues while Shillong will be the host for 8 sport disciplines across 5 venues.
When contacted, Frederick Roy Kharkongor, Joint CEO, Shillong, South Asian Games, said he was not aware of the matter.
