Nongstoin market complex completes seventy per cent work

NONGSTOIN: KHADC secretary W. Syiemlieh along with under secretary, District Council Affairs department, E.M Lyngdoh, project engineer F.S. Syiem and other officials of the district council on Wednesday visited the site where construction of the shopping complex cum parking lot at Nongstoin was underway.
During the visit, Syiemlieh found out that the Construction was totally under process with 70 % work done.
Syiemlieh also told Pressmen that the Construction was already 70% complete and will not take time if the Ministry of DONER releases the pending budget as per the estimate of the project cost, he also told that if the construction is finished,  it will solve the traffic congestion in Nongstoin market as the upcoming parking lot can manage more than 100 cabbies within its premise.
When asked if the nodal officer who is also the under secretary, District Council Affairs E.M Lyngdoh said that 70% of the work has been completed and she hoped that after the Ministry of DONER releases all the budget with in December 2016, the complex will be inaugurated.
She also told that the market complex was estimated with an amount of Rs. 4.76 Crore, where 3.50 crore has been released, but the remaining Rs. 1.26 Crore is good enough for the Council to complete the project within the month of December.
