Bus driver misbehaves with NCC cadet  
On February  13 at about 9.30 am, one Luckily Sohshang (26) driver of SPTS bus No. 15, misbehaved with a female NCC cadet identified as  B. Rani, while she was on traffic duty at Polo. Police detained the accused person and matter is under enquiry.
AAY scheme anomalies  
CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing lodged a complaint that fourteen BPL beneficiaries of Mawtehpiew village (EKH) were shown to have been allotted Ration Cards for BPL and also have their names as beneficiaries of the AAY Scheme. However, another fourteen villagers did not get their Ration Cards or benefits from AAY Scheme.
Two knocked down
On February 12 at around 11.25 pm, one unknown vehicle knocked down two persons, Rilang Majaw (23) and Donbok Dominic Marbaniang (29) at Pohktieh, Shillong and fled away. Victims sustained injuries and were admitted at NEIGRIHMS.
Assault
On February 10 at around 10 pm, two persons, Wanlambok Nongrum and  Hambert Thangkhiew assaulted one Budmon Mawlong at Umsawkhwan (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
GNLA worker arrested
Police arrested an over ground worker of GNLA identified as Jolesh N Marak from Dobu village in East Garo Hills. According to police, the accused was working with the GNLA action commander, Jimmy Momin.
