Accident
On February 17 around 11.35 am, one scooty (ML-05M-8898) ridden by R.D Hmissthung (21) skidded on the road at MES Point under Lumdiengjri PS, Shillong.  As a result, the rider sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Theft
On February 16 around 4.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one mobile phone belonging to one Vineeta Vera Dkhar at St. Edmund’s College Campus, Shillong.
On February 15 around 12.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one tyre from a car belonging to one  Prasant Singh from CPWD Campus, Cleve Colony, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
Unrest in Adokgre
Tension mounted at Adokgre police outpost in North Garo Hills district after an angry mob wanted the police to hand over three persons who were arrested in connection with a kidnapping case on Wednesday.
Police resorted to bank fire to disperse the crowd. Earlier, the crowd took out a rally to register protest.
The Garo Students’ Union  Adokgre Farmers Association and the North Garo Hills Vigilance Forum  (NGHVF) among others took part in the rally held at Adokgre School playground .
