SHILLONG: The executive meeting of the Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong ka Bri U Hynniewtrep will be held on March 5 at Jaiaw Shyiap Lum Pyllon Community Hall at 11 am to discuss the issues that came up during the meeting with the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma on February 10.
During the meeting, the headmen had staged a walk out after the Chief Minister failed to give any assurance to their demand to maintain status quo regarding the service rules. Earlier, the government servants were allowed to function as headmen without any conditions. The umbrella body of traditional heads has urged the headmen, village chiefs, to attend the meeting.
