Fake certificate
A.G. Momin, Principal, Mendipathar College (NGH) lodged a complaint that on February 20, she detected one fake certificate in the name of one Abdul Mohit Ali of Gokul under Bajengdoba PS (NGH).
Obscene remarks
A woman identified as Baiamon Kharpuri lodged a complaint that on February 20 morning, one Aman Thakur (28) passed obscene remarks at some girls at St. Edmund’s College Girls’ Hostel, Shillong.
Drivers of oil tanker attacked
The Secretary of Assam Petroleum Mazdoor Union, GNB Road, Guwahati, Assam lodged a complaint that on January 24 night, unidentified miscreants attacked the driver of oil tanker (AS-01-FC-4283) at Chiehruphi village, East Jaintia Hills causing injuries to him.
Again, on February 10 at around 11 pm, unidentified miscreants in a truck (AS-01-BC-8297), attacked the driver of another oil tanker (AS-01-AC-3025) at the same place.
Threat
A woman Ridaroy Shadap lodged a complaint that in the month of January one L. Lyngkhoi and another woman Metis Pakma threatened her with dire consequences at Khliehriat (EJH).
Drivers injured
On February 19 at around 10.15 pm, one Hyundai i-10 Grand car (ML-05L-6111) driven by Ashish Agarwal (22) dashed against two vehicles (Maruti Alto car-ML-05G-7050 & Maruti car-ML-05C-1708) driven by Gedion Wahlang (21) and Hamlet Rapsang (26) respectively, at 101 Area, Upper Shillong. As a result, drivers of both the Maruti cars sustained minor injuries.
In another accident, on February 18 at around 11 pm, one dumper truck (ML-07B-1672) driven by Sunshine Burbas dashed against one Maruti local taxi (ML-05G-6233) driven by Md. Jamaluddin. As a result, driver of local taxi sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital.
One found unconscious
On February 18 at around 7.30 pm, one Barket Nongbri (40) was found lying unconscious on the roadside at Umthup, Smit, East Khasi Hills and was removed to Civil Hospital.
ATM fraud
A person of Madanrting Block-C, Shillong lodged a complaint that on February 17, he received anonymous phone call in which the caller claimed himself to be an employee of SBI and asked for his ATM details. Later, the complainant found that an amount of Rs. 96,177 was fraudulently withdrawn from his account.
Theft at P & T quarters
One Anthony Lahna lodged a complaint that on February 24 at around 4 pm, miscreants stole one LPG cylinder, two mobile phones and one TV set from the quarter of his sister at P&T Quarters, Banashree Nongrim Hills.
Bike theft
On February 23 at around 9.30 pm, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05H-6330) belonging to one Md. Salman Akhtar from Laban, Shillong.
