SHILLONG: A highly decomposed body was recovered from near the main dam in Umiam at around 5 pm on February 25. East Khasi Hills SP, M Kharkrang said that the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, body of one Bening Pala was recovered from Syntung River at Mawkynrew in East Khasi Hills on February 26. Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver has been handed over to relatives.
