Directive
The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has directed trucks transporting coal not to ply over the BUG bridge No. 52.5 at Mawphlang-Balat road as it is being dismantled. Buses coming from both sides have been directed to off load passengers before crossing the subway bridge which can support up to 9 tons.
Natl Science Day
National Science Day will be observed at the Survey of India office from February 28-29. An exhibition will also be held on the occasion. The office will remain open for public and school students from 11 am-4 pm on both days.
Pension Adalat
The Controller of Communication Accounts, Department of Telecom, NE Circle, Shillong will hold a Pension Adalat for redressal of grievances of DoT/BSNL Pensioners on April 26 at the Conference Hall, Office of the GMTD BSNL Building, Tripura SSA, Agartala at 11:00 am. Pensioners can send their grievances to AO (Pension), DoT, Shillong on or before March 31.
