A co-passenger of a Maruti Alto (AS24A – 9857) sustained injuries when the vehicle skidded on a turning and drove off to the side of the road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Maruti Alto was travelling towards Jowai from Shillong when the incident took place at Mawlyngngad Kyndong Basa under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills District on the March 1 at 5:58 A.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Mawryngkneng helped in shifting Appo Dutta (25) to Shillong Civil Hospital.
Walking on the side of the road a pedestrian, Ehbok Khongsngi (28) sustained injuries after he was hit by a vehicle. The incident happened near the market place at Pynursla under Pynursla Block, East Khasi Hills on February 29 at 5:49 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Pynursla helped in shifting Ehbok Khongsngi to Pynursla CHC.
Standing on the side of the road, two people sustained injuries after they were hit by a Bolero pick-up near Fun Thrill Park at Mawlein under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District. The motorbike was proceeding towards Shillong from Mawhati when the incident happened on the February 29 at 3:49 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Umsning helped in shifting the motorist Tamborlang Marbaniang (25) and the pillion rider Donborlang Marbaniang (29) to Umsning CHC.
A truck (WB25D – 9285) proceeding towards Silchar from Guwahati drove off to the side of the road after it skidded on the Shillong by-pass road at Pyllun Saw Kilo under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District. The driver of the truck Rajesh Debnath (48) and the helper Sarbhujit Singh (50) sustained injuries when the mishap occurred and they have been shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital by the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Bhoirymbong. The incident happened on February 29.
