Nomination for national awards
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports is inviting applications for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award, Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar, Dhyan Chand Award for Life Time Achievement in Sports & Games and Dronacharya Award. The last date of submission of applications is on or before March 28, 2016. Detailed information can be obtained from the office of the Director, Sports & Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong.
Competition
The Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation will conduct the 1stNational Essay Competition on Water Conservation during the year 2015-16. Sec 144 CrPC
The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sohra Civil Sub Division, Sohra has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting person or group of persons or organizations from indulging in any activities of any kind in the whole stretch of the Shella Umiam and Thariaghat rivers and within 100 meters on both sides of the said river banks.
