NEIGRIHMS to launch two Public Health programmes

SHILLONG: Two flagship programmes of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Jeevan Jyoti Rashtriya Abhiyan (Basic Emergency Care Programme) and Jan Suraksha Abhiyan (Injury Prevention Programme) will be launched during the 6th Convocation, annual day at NEIGRIHMS on Saturday.
An awareness walkathon for the two flagship programmes was conducted on Friday where the Chief Guest of the occasion was Chief Minister Mukul Sangma.
A.G. Ahangar, Director, NEIGRIHMS, informed that on March 4, a faculty oral presentation was presented on different topics by various speakers.
While unfolding the Institute’s programme for the occasion, Ahangar stated, “The mission of the hospital is to give the best of health care and unfold mysteries in diagnostics and unconventional rehabilitation programme.”
“We have deficiencies but we have improved and we are far ahead of those institutes in terms of infrastructure, equipment, faculty, manpower, services,” Ahangar added.
