SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner P.S. Dkhar on Friday held a meeting with officers of 58 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC) to discuss the stand-off between residents of Mawshubuit villagers and Army personnel earlier this week forcing the residents to set a blockade of the GTC gate.
Dkhar informed that he asked the GTC officials to ensure that no one passing through the gate is harassed and further asked them to maintain cordial relationship to which the GTC officials responded positively.
The DC also suggested that the GTC officials should invite the local headman for discussion and sort out the matter.
