JHADC okays Rs 1.92 cr deficit Budget

JOWAI: The JHADC on Wednesday unanimously approved Rs.85.28 crore budget for 2016-17 on the last day of the budget session.
The JHADC EM in-charge Finance Joinriwel Pyrtuh this time presented a Rs.1.92 crore deficit budget with estimated revenue receipt of Rs.83.35 against the estimated expenditures of Rs. 85.28 crore.
Pyrtuh informed that the deficit was due to various reasons including rise in establishment cost, price escalation and others.
He also informed that the additional expenditure of Rs. 1.92 crore would incurred in strengthening of various departments with an aim to ensure efficiency, competency and transparency.
With regards to the financial assistance received from Government, Pyrtuh informed that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India has earmarked an amount of Rs. 3.30 crore for construction of JHADC building.
He also informed that the JHADC was yet to receive special one-time Central assistance of Rs. 33.57 crore, which was allotted to the District Council by the Finance Ministry.
