TRA imparts training to tea growers

UMSNING: Meghalaya Advisory Centre of Tea Research Association (TRA) organized a training programme for small tea growers of Meghalaya at Tea Development Centre, Umsning on March 22.
The theme of the programme was ”Early weather practices in tea cultivation”.
More than 100 small tea growers from different parts of East khasi hills and Ribhoi districts participated in the programme. Dr. Pathak & Dr. Sen, scientist of TRA nicely explained the early weather tea cultivation practices (Plucking & tipping, plant protection, young tea bringing up, nursery management etc.) to the farmers.
