NONGSTOIN: The decision of Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh to bring Nongstoin under the ambit of the MUDA Building Bye Laws has not gone down well with the residents of the area.
In a meeting held recently at Free Morning School and attended by Nongstoin MDC LG. Nongsiej, HYC members and different village heads, people expressed concern over Lyngdoh’s statement in the Assembly. The meeting also slammed local MLA Diosstarness Jyndiang for allegedly keeping silent on the issue.
It was also decided that a public meeting on the issue will be held at Nongstoin market on April 4 to register protest against the proposed implementation of the MUDA Building Bye Laws in the area.
