SHILLONG:  Ad hoc employees under the banner of All Meghalaya Officiating Employees (AMOE) PWD Association on Tuesday staged a sit-in-demonstration to protest against the government’s failure to reinstate their services in the department. Speaking to newsmen, David Rapmai, general secretary of the association said, “The government should find ways to tackle the issue faced by ad hoc employees since the current situation has affected their livelihood.” The association said it would look for ways to pressurize the government on the issue.
