SHILLONG: The troops of BSF BOP Lyngkhat, on a tip off once again seized 28 cattle from the bordering area. The special operations of BSF laid a trap while some smugglers along with cattle were proceeding towards Bangladesh for smuggling through a thickly vegetated area.
The BSF party cordoned the suspected area. A thorough search was carried out. A huge number of cattle (28 in number) were found from the Indo-Bangladesh border. However the cattle carriers/smugglers managed to flee taking advantage of darkness and thick foliage.
After a short pause in smuggling through this area, again this major recovery of cattle indicates the rise in attempts of smuggling.
The BSF has been continuously effecting seizures in the particular area of Lyngkhat.
