IED recovered on Meghalaya Assam border

Guwahati: A powerful Improvised Explosive Device was recovered from 9th mile area in Khanapara on the Meghalaya-Assam border on Friday.Preliminary reports said the IED, weighing about 2.5 kg, was recovered by a joint team of Assam and Meghalaya police.Four persons have been arrested in this connection. Details are awaited.Security is on high alert as the Assembly polls are slated in Assam on April 4 and 11. (UNI)
