SHILLONG: Residents of Mawiong Diengpasoh had complained that an inclined electric post that has been lying unattended by the MeECL posed impending danger to the people of the area.
The negligence of the power corporation was evident when it did not heed the pleas of the residents who have been complaining over power cuts for the last one month.
In this connection, the FKJGP Mawryngkneng Circle led by Bristar Mawthoh, working president and other members on Saturday, met the villagers who informed the association that their complaints have fallen on deaf ears.
In this regard the federation condemned the indifferent attitude of the department which is bent on increasing light bills without discharging proper services and facilities to the people. It has demanded the Department to repair the electric post and transformer.
