SHILLONG: The pending case related to the alleged rape of a minor girl by one Small Phawa will continue on Wednesday after the matter was heard both in the morning and afternoon sessions by the High Court of Meghalaya here on Tuesday. During the course of submissions, the senior counsel appearing for the appellant placed on record the correspondence concerning this case, particularly for the purpose of filing of the appeal. The Investigating Officer is the appellant in the case.  The mother and the victim were present in the court during the hearing.    Earlier, after a fast track court last year had acquitted the accused, the mother of the victim took up the matter with the Member Secretary, Meghalaya State Legal Service Authority for an appeal in the High Court.  Since the submissions on behalf of the accused/respondent remained inconclusive on Tuesday, the matter will be again taken up on Wednesday.
