Sources said that some of the accused police personnel claimed that they had not been staying in the quarters for long and had only recently taken possession of the quarters.
Sources also said that the next course of action will follow after the statements have been recorded.
The FIRs have been filed by MePDCL Assistant Executive Engineer Arju Dkhar at Sadar police station against police personnel Thigmen Sangma, Pinchang G Momin, Nijon Marak, Mukherjee Marak, Lovesh Sangma, Ballen Sangma and Armit Sangma.
