SHILLONG: The Dorbar Shnong Syntung East Khasi Hills district, has allegedly ostracized a  person from another village  who, however, has been staying at Syntung with his wife  for nine years and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the woman on  whimsical grounds that their married life was not good for the society.
According to Sbun Mynsong, her husband hailing from Nongjrong was ostracized by Sordar of  Syntung.
Concerned over the matter, the woman sought the help of CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing who took up the matter with the East  Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner for a probe and necessary action as it is a case of human rights violation.
