Training on hospital disaster management underway

SHILLONG: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Nongstoin in collaboration with Civil Hospital organized  a three day training programme for the medical responders, hospital incident response teams on preparation of  hospital disaster management plan, First Aid, Fire Safety, Search & Rescue  and Hospital Mock Drill from  April 26  to  28 at  Civil Hospital.The Programme was inaugurated by J. P. Lakiang ADC cum Chief Executive Officer, DDMA, Nongstoin.  The Training was imparted by Dr N.P Laloo, Senior  Specialist, Civil Hospital, Dr R.R Marak, Jr Specialist, Central Training Institute, Civil Defence and Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services  and Jonathan Mawthoh, ADPO, DDMAn. A hospital mock drill stimulating an earthquake of 8.1 richter scale will be conducted at Nongstoin Civil Hospital on April 28.
