Dikkanchi, Conrad become richer since 2013

SHILLONG:  Both the Congress and NPP candidates for by-poll to Tura Lok Sabha seat Dikkanchi Shira and Conrad Sangma have become richer in the last three years if one compares the affidavits they filed along with their nomination papers for May 16 Tura Lok Sabha elections and for the Assembly elections of 2013.
As per the affidavits filed by them, the value of movable assets of both the candidates have increased by over Rs 1 crore.
The total value of Dikkanchi’s moveable asset stands at a whopping Rs 3,32,41,972 currently.
In 2013, Dikkanchi had moveable assets worth Rs 21,7,20,889.
On the other hand, the gross total value of moveable assets of Conrad at present is Rs 2,27,45,128. In 2013 it was Rs 13861321.
However, while the market value of immoveable assets of Dikkanchi  in  2013 was Rs  4,18,70,000, the value of immovable assets of  Conrad was Rs  6105000.
Conrad who did not win the Assembly polls in 2013, however, has a total liability of Rs 7290039 in form of loans.
The current market value of 26 plots of agricultural land, which Dikkanchi  has inherited,  stands at Rs 20 lakh.
She also has nine coal mines in different parts of the state especially in West Khasi Hills, and the current market value of the coal mine is Rs 1,80,00000 although most of the coal mines are inherited.  She also has four residential buildings.
Conrad has six inherited non-agricultural land and the current market value of the land is Rs 7,21,5000. He also has two flats in GS Road, Guwahati .  Conrad also owns six vehicles including a Mercedes E Class purchased in the year  2013  worth Rs 33,00000.
