SHILLONG: The Association of Resource Persons’ Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in Meghalaya led by its president Mebankitboklang Syiemlieh, general secretary Banrikupar Mylliemngap, president of Ri Bhoi unit Dramshon Mawphniang, president of Jaintia Hills unit Damekit Shangpliang and legal adviser of Meghalaya Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Schools Daniel Stone Lyngdoh Nonglait paid a visit to New Delhi on April 29. The visiting team was assisted by Lok Sabha member from Shillong Vincent H. Pala during their stay in Delhi. Pala also facilitated meetings between the SSA team and top officials of the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development. The team met Dr. Subhash Chandra Kuntia, Secretary, Ministry of Human Resources Development (Education) and V. S. Oberoi, Secretary, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The demands put forward by the SSA Association include regularisation of staff of SSA and increase in their pay
