TURA: The Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers and Employees Association (GHDSTEA) has demanded revocation of recent appointments of untrained teachers in two different schools in Garo Hills while urging the concerned authority to put out a fresh advertisement.
In its complaint to the State Education minister, the GHDSTEA informed that untrained teachers were recently appointed without any kind of advertisement and interview at Rangku Memorial Girls’ Secondary School, Baghmara and Nokatgre UP School under Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division.
Earlier, complaints in this regard were made on two occasions to the South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner and the Director of School Education and Literacy on March 10 and 26, respectively. However, any kind of action is yet to be taken in this regard by the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the GHDSTEA has served an ultimatum of 15 days for the revocation of both appointments as well as for issuance of an order for re-advertisement for appointment to both the posts failing which it warned of taking its own course of action.
