SHILLONG: A high level meeting of the UDP will be held on Monday to assess the Tura by-election and also to discuss the issue of pre-poll alliance with ‘likeminded’ parties for the 2018 State polls.
A UDP leader said on Sunday that the result of the by-poll and its implications in the state politics will be discussed at the meeting.
Another agenda will be to know the mind of the party leaders on a possible pre-poll alliance with political parties similar to Assam which resulted in a BJP led coalition securing majority there.
