Senior citizen killed in mishap
SHILLONG: A senior citizen succumbed to his injuries after falling off a moving truck (ML08 1467) at Dobasipara in West Garo Hills on May 26 at about 7.45 PM.
The deceased identified as Madhav Rabha (60) was shifted to Tura civil hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Octogenarian commits suicide
SHILLONG: In a shocking incident, an 80 year old person allegedly killed himself on the outskirts of Tura town on Monday night.
The deceased Raman Marak (80) hanged himself in his residence at Lower Dobasipara, Tura in West Garo Hills.
Matter is under inquiry, police informed on Tuesday.
One held for attempted rape
SHILLONG: Police have arrested one person for allegedly raping a twelve year old girl at Upper Klew village in Ri Bhoi district on May 23.
The accused has been identified as Klain Mukhim.
