JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills District Magistrate has passed an order under Section 133 CrPC and Section 143 CrPC directing those involved in large scale unscientific stone quarrying along Jowai-Nartiang-Kanduli road to immediately stop of all stone quarrying  activities and to remove all spoils from the road top, drains and culverts.
The order also directed all concerned to bring back the road to its original condition making it fit for plying of vehicles, failing which the offenders will be liable for criminal prosecution under section 188 IPC for commission of cognizance offence.
