SHILLONG: Congress minister from Jaintia Hills, Sniawbhalang Dhar, on Friday hoped that the problems within the party will be solved at the earliest in the CLP meeting.
Asked about the issue related to demand for change of leadership, Dhar admitted that there are minor differences in the party which according to him will be amicably settled within the party like a family.
“We are supporting the chief minister and there is no room for any demand for change of  leadership,” Dhar said.
He, however, said there is a need for the party members, ministers and MLAs to work hard to ensure the party’s victory in the 2018 Assembly election, in the aftermath of defeat of the party in Tura by-poll and Assam Assembly elections.
To a query, Dhar denied rumours of him joining the BJP.
