Awareness
The Inner Wheel Club of Shillong organized an awareness talk on women’s health issues delivered by Dr. Manika Aggarwal, Associate Professor, Gynaecology, NEIGRIHMS, at Shubham Skill Development Centre on Monday with over 50 participants.
Meeting
The Meghalaya Arm Wrestling Association will hold a general meeting on July 6 at Khasi National Dorbar Hall, Mawkhar, at 11:30 AM. All members of the association have been requested to attend the meeting in order to enable the association to deliberate on various issues.
Medical camp
Bridge of Hope Rongjeng Child Care Project organized a free medical check-up in collaboration with NRHM of CHC Rongjeng on Monday at Rongjeng. The camp was conducted by Dr. Alfina Sangma, T.G. Momin and Dr. Grisin Sangma, Dental Surgeon of CHC Rongjeng.
Eid greetings
On behalf of the founder family of Islamia Secondary School, the school has greeted the people of the State and conveyed its best wishes to the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The Eid-ul-Fitr congregational prayer will be held on July 7 at 8:30 AM on the Mohammadia Al-Hussaini Masjid premises.
Office bearers
The Inner Wheel Club of Shillong has elected its new executive committee for 2016-2017 at its installation on July 2, with Geeta Sarin as president, Prem Tibrewala as vice president, Rekha Jain as secretary and Poonam Goenka as treasurer, besides other members.
