Arunachal govt decides to give 6 pc DA

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to release six per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) to state government regular employees, pensioners and family pensioners from January 1 this year at par with central government employees. The decision was approved in a cabinet meeting held on Monday, an official release said here Tuesday.
The cabinet under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Kalikho Pul also approved for creation of 411 posts for establishment of the state’s first medical college of which 200 are posts for faculty members and 211 for supporting staff.
The Cabinet also approved the creation of 106 posts of different cadres for Arunachal Civil Secretariat under GA department as well as opening of 21 women police stations along with creation of 401 posts under various categories. The proposal for promotion of Constables to Head Constables under the Police Department was also approved.
The cabinet also discussed the issues proposed for the 11th meeting of Inter-State Council scheduled on July 16 in New Delhi under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. (PTI)
