Hotel staff arrested

SHILLONG: An employee of Hotel Pegasus Crown located on Police Bazaar has been arrested for alleged involvement in assaulting a cook, who succumbed to his injuries at a hospital recently.
Initially, it was reported that the victim Prokit Rabha (18) succumbed to his injuries at NEIGRIHMS after falling   from the hotel building.  The incident happened on July 12. He died five days later. The matter was reported to police only after Rabha’s death.
Acting on a formal complaint lodged by the relatives of the victim, police arrested one Vicky Chettri, (47), a staff of Hotel Pegasus Crown.
According to police, both the staff had a quarrel after which the accused threw the victim from the building.
