Female imposter granted bail

NONGSTOIN:  The female imposter accused of duping as many as 450 youths from Mairang was granted bail by the court on medical grounds.
Evangeline Kharbuli (39) of Mawlai Kyntonmassar, who was arrested on July 14 for illegally collecting over Rs 2 crore from the unsuspecting victims offering them fake jobs in the public sector, is currently availing treatment in Civil Hospital, Shillong.
The West Khasi Hills Police, meanwhile, expressed  shocked over the release of the fraudster.
WKH Superintendent of Police, S Nongtnger said that police have demanded custody of the accused.
The police also claimed that they have solid evidence against the accused.
