The council alleged that the incumbent DTO has been absent from office since May 18 on medical grounds and is only likely to resume office by August end.
The council said in the absence of the DTO in the district people who have applied for driving licenses and other related work are at the receiving end as the officer’s absence has caused lots of inconvenience.
